Abdel Nasser Mohamed, director of football at the club, confirmed ZamalekIn exclusive statements to Cairo 24, he said that goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi is one of the great players in the team, but he made a sharp mistake during Otoho’s last match, stressing that the club does not condone any mistakes, and that his role is to raise the level of responsibility among all players.
Abdel Nasser Mohamed indicated that the team management has completely closed the Otoho confrontation page, and that the focus now is on preparing for the upcoming matches, especially the most difficult ones, stressing his confidence in the ability of all the team players to deliver the expected performance, and described them as men in the truest sense of the word.
The football director stressed that Zamalek always seeks to enhance discipline within the ranks of the players, while working to achieve the best results in the upcoming competitions.
Zamalek qualifies for the Confederation semi-finals
The Zamalek club’s first football team qualified for the semi-finals of the African Confederation Championship, after overcoming the penalty of Otoho, the Congolese champion, in the quarter-finals.
Zamalek is scheduled to meet the Algerian CS Belouizdad team in the semi-finals of the continental competition for the current season 2025-2026.
