A source within the Zamalek Club confirmed, in exclusive statements, that Micale’s name is now strongly on the table for selections, along with another French coach, with the final decision between the two being made by John Edward, the club’s sporting director, who is leading the contract file for the new technical director in preparation for the next stage.
Zamalek’s move to search for a new technical director came after Ahmed Abdel Raouf, the team’s technical director, apologized for not completing his mission, before facing Al-Ittihad Alexandria in the Egyptian Capital Cup, which prompted the club’s management to take a temporary decision to give Tamer Abdel Hamid “Dunga” and Hazem Emam the opportunity to lead the youth team, in cooperation with the current technical staff, until the new technical director is settled.
The source concluded his statements by emphasizing that the Zamalek administration will enter into official negotiations with Micale in the coming hours, in order to resolve his final position, once an agreement is reached on the conditions set by the club’s football sector, the most important of which is the monthly financial compensation, in addition to the continuation of the assistant technical staff during the coming period.
