A medical team at Al-Qurain Central Hospital succeeded in rescuing a critical and complex medical case that was transferred from one of the major hospitals, where it received the patient suffering from a severe drop in blood circulation as a result of bacterial blood poisoning, with a disturbance in the level of consciousness and a severe rise in temperature.

The medical team dealt with the case upon its arrival in accordance with approved medical protocols, while conducting comprehensive examinations and analyzes and medical presentations in several specialties, including the brain, nerves, nose, ear, ophthalmia, and skin.

Professor Mahmoud Abdel Fattah, Director of Media and Public Relations at the Directorate of Health Affairs in Sharqia, explained that the final diagnosis of the case resulted in the presence of a clot in the brain veins and an increase in the blood sugar level, along with infection with the herpes virus, and the necessary treatment with antibiotics and fluid medications was provided, which led to stabilization of vital signs, the patient regaining full consciousness, and her discharge from intensive care in good condition.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the Eastern Province confirmed that these efforts reflect the efficiency of the medical teams within the governorate’s hospitals and their keenness to provide integrated medical service to citizens.
