Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly confirmed that all relevant state agencies have raised the level of readiness to the highest level. To deal with any crises that may arise during the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holidays, especially with expectations of rain and floods in some areas of the Republic.

Madbouly said – while chairing the weekly government meeting at its headquarters in the new capital: To discuss a number of topics and files – the competent authorities must tighten control over various markets; To ensure the availability of all types of strategic goods in fixed and mobile outlets, and to address any price manipulation or concealment of a specific commodity; With the aim of making illegal profits, as well as resolutely confronting any attempts to encroach on state property, or build on agricultural lands, or build illegally, with a commitment to activate crisis rooms in all relevant ministries and governorates during this period.

The Prime Minister began the meeting by offering his heartfelt congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the great Egyptian people, and all members of the government. On the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, I pray to God Almighty to grant our dear Egypt continued security and stability, and to bring this occasion back to all of us with goodness, development and prosperity.

The Prime Minister moved on to discuss some of the presidential activities carried out by the President of the Republic during the past days, noting that within the framework of the efforts made by the Egyptian state and its intensive movements at the international and regional levels to stop the war currently taking place in the region as soon as possible, Mr. President made several phone calls to a number of kings and leaders of some Arab and Gulf countries during the past days; This is to confirm Egypt’s full support and support for these sister countries in light of the current developments that the Middle East region is going through.

In the same context, the Prime Minister referred to the meeting that the President held with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Egyptians abroad, to review a comprehensive report on the tour that the Minister made to a number of sisterly Arab countries. This aims to enhance Egyptian – Gulf – Arab coordination and consultation regarding the rapid developments taking place in the region, and to deliver a message of solidarity and support to the Arab brothers.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly said: Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, is working to establish peace in the region and is making great sincere efforts to achieve this, which was confirmed by the President of the Republic at the Ministry of Endowments’ celebration of Laylat al-Qadr, referring to what the President said that Egypt is sending “a message of peace from the land of peace on the Night of Peace.”

The Prime Minister pointed out the meeting held by the President to review the general plan for the development of Damietta Port and the projects being implemented in this framework, as well as following up on developments in the executive position for developing, expanding and raising the efficiency of the ring road around Greater Cairo, in addition to the work of raising the efficiency and maintenance of the 6th of October Bridge.

In another context, the Prime Minister indicated that successive meetings of the Central Committee for Crisis Management would continue to be held under his chairmanship, the last of which was yesterday. To follow up on the repercussions of the military escalation in the region, reviewing the procedures and steps that have been implemented within the framework of presidential mandates issued to the government to deal with the repercussions of the war and the current crisis, especially with regard to the axis of the economy and monitoring global and local markets, as well as what is related to the energy file.
