The Luxor Water Company organized a comprehensive campaign for periodic medical examination of the company’s employees, in cooperation with the Luxor Health Care Authority. This comes within the framework of the directives of Major General Engineer Ahmed Saeed Arafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Luxor Water and Wastewater Company, and out of the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater’s keenness to care for the human element and ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
This initiative also came within the framework of the company’s annual plan to monitor the health status of workers and ensure their physical safety, which reflects positively on the efficiency of performance and the quality of services provided to citizens.
The General Administration of Occupational Safety and Health supervised the implementation of medical examination procedures within the company’s headquarters, where the necessary examinations and analyzes were conducted for workers in various departments and field sites, which included measuring blood pressure, sugar levels, liver and kidney functions, vision and hearing examinations, and other periodic examinations.
Major General Engineer Ahmed Saeed Arafa confirmed that the company places the health and safety of workers at its top priority, based on its belief that the human element is the basis for achieving development and continuing to provide high-quality drinking water and sanitation services.
He added that these efforts come within the holding company’s strategy, which seeks to enhance the culture of occupational safety within the work environment, and provide the necessary health care for workers to ensure a safe and sustainable work environment.
For their part, the workers expressed their appreciation for this initiative, which reflects management’s interest in their health and safety, stressing that these periodic procedures contribute to raising health awareness and preventing diseases, thus enhancing the spirit of belonging and responsibility towards work.
