The Supreme Committee for the Recovery of State Lands, headed by Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Adviser to the President of the Republic for Military Affairs, launched the national platform for legalizing state lands, to be the official electronic port through which requests for legalizing squatter lands are submitted, within the framework of ongoing coordination with Minister Dr. Manal Awad. Local development And the Committee for the Recovery of State Lands, in light of the state’s keenness to tighten the system of legalizing land rights, enhancing governance and transparency in the management of private state property, organizing legalization mechanisms, and achieving a balance between the rights of the state and the interests of serious citizens.

Launching the national platform to legalize state lands

The platform, available via the link: https://nplr.estrdad.gov.eg The national platform for legalizing state lands.

It allows citizens to submit legalization requests electronically, and follow up on all stages of the procedures, including inspection work, pricing the lands required to be legalized, up to the final contracting procedures, for those who meet the legalization conditions.

In this context, the Council of Ministers had issued the executive regulations for Law No. 168 of 2025, which specified the conditions and procedures for legalization and mechanisms for submitting applications, provided that the application period lasts for only 6 months from the date of entry into force of the regulations.

The Supreme Committee for the Recovery of State Lands called on all those wishing to legalize their status to quickly enter the national platform and begin legalization procedures within the specified period.

The committee also confirmed that legalization requests previously submitted in accordance with Law No. 144 of 2017 – which has expired – will have their procedures completed in accordance with the provisions of the new law, and with the same fees that were paid, in order to preserve the rights of citizens.
