
The draw ceremony for the 2026 World Cup, which was held this Friday evening at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Arts in Washington, DC, resulted in the Jordanian national team being placed in a difficult group in the next edition of the World Cup.
The Jordanian national team is in the fourth group, alongside Argentina, Algeria and Austria, in a tournament that will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico during the period from June 11 to July 19, which will witness for the first time the participation of 48 teams, divided into 12 groups.
So far, 42 teams have qualified, while the rest of the six seats will be determined through the European Play-Off (4 seats) and the World Play-off (2 seats).
The classification of the teams in the draw includes four pots, as Jordan came in the fourth pot, along with the teams of Cape Verde, Ghana, Curacao, Haiti and New Zealand, in addition to the teams that qualified from the European and international playoffs.
