Declaring force majeure is a legal measure that allows the supplier to temporarily suspend or cancel its contractual obligations upon the occurrence of events beyond control, such as conflicts, disasters, or attacks that impede the implementation of contracts. This measure would affect some shipments heading to Asian and European markets that depend on Qatari supplies, whether through long-term contracts or spot deals.
