Qalyubia Governorate announced the evacuation of a two-story house in the Al-Arjan area in the city of Toukh, after serious cracks and cracks were detected that threaten the safety of passers-by.

The governorate confirmed that the decision comes within the framework of preserving the lives of citizens, as immediate action was taken and all precautionary measures were taken, in coordination with the executive agencies, the engineering administration, and the Facilities Committee at risk of collapse.

Engineer Wael Jumaa, head of the Toukh Center and City, had received a report from the main operations room stating that there were large cracks in the property. Immediately, the executive bodies headed to the site, with the participation of the competent authorities, to take urgent measures.

The city president explained that the damaged part of the facade of the house was removed using specialized equipment and with the help of a demolition contractor, to ensure the security of the area and the protection of citizens, while work continues to complete the complete treatment of the building.

He added that the Dilapidated Facilities Committee reported that the house was built of mud brick and is more than 100 years old, and is currently uninhabited, stressing the continuation of field follow-up. To monitor any old or dilapidated buildings and deal with them immediately, in order to preserve public safety.
