An Israeli spy in Iran
A report published by the Iranian Tasnim Agency revealed that the accused was arrested on June 26, during the fourth day of the 12-day war, by the “Iranian Revolutionary Guard Intelligence Organization” in one of the villas in the Saugblaj province. He was in possession of 30,000 euros in cash, a Padra pickup truck, a crossover motorcycle, advanced spy devices and equipment, and satellite communications equipment.
According to the case file, the identity of the accused, named Kourosh Kiwani, was identified in 2023 via the Internet after his personal data was published on a promotional link for group trips, where he was contacted by a Mossad officer named “Ben,” who resides in Sweden and speaks the Persian language, via virtual communication media.
The Mossad officer took advantage of the virtual relationship to obtain personal information about the accused, which included his interests, income, family relationships, and financial problems, to the point of viewing his son’s school hours and leisure time schedule.
The Mossad asked the accused to hold a meeting in person in Berlin with the aim of strengthening the relationship. The meeting was attended by “Ben” and a number of other people, and a normal conversation took place. At the end of the meeting, the accused received one thousand euros in addition to travel and accommodation expenses, and other amounts were paid to him intermittently during the subsequent period.
