Yesterday evening, the activities of the sixth Ramadan session of the Electricity Club, Cup, concluded Mr. Ministerwhich was held under the patronage of Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, in a festive atmosphere that witnessed wide participation from the electricity sector teams.
The Minister delegated Engineer Gaber El-Desouki, Chairman of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company, to attend the final match and hand over prizes to the winners of the tournament.
Closing of the sixth Ramadan session of the Electricity Club
The final match witnessed a strong competition between the teams of the North Cairo Electricity Distribution Company and the Middle Delta Electricity Production Company, where the meeting was characterized by enthusiasm, competitiveness, and technical skills that impressed the attendees.
The North Cairo Electricity Distribution team was able to win the match in its favor and win the championship title in its sixth edition, while the Central Delta Electricity Production team came in second place, and the Medical Services Company came in third place to win the bronze medal.
At the conclusion of the tournament, Engineer Jaber Al-Desouki handed over the championship cup and gold medals to the winning team, in the presence of a number of leaders in the electricity sector, including:
- Engineer Hassan El-Baili, Chairman of the North Cairo Electricity Distribution Company and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electricity Club.
- Engineer Tariq Abdel Shafi, Chairman of the South Cairo Electricity Distribution Company and Vice Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors.
- Accountant Yasser Yahya, club treasurer and head of the financial sector at the Medical Services Company.
- Accountant Mohamed Ragheb, Vice President of the South Cairo Company for Financial Affairs and a member of the club’s board of directors.
- Accountant Ahmed Abdel Baqi, vice president of North Cairo Company for Commercial Affairs and member of the club’s board of directors.
- Jamila Muhammad, member of the club’s board of directors.
The ceremony also witnessed the honoring of the organizing committee and those in charge of organizing the tournament in appreciation of their efforts in making the tournament a success, including:
- Adel Ibrahim, acting executive director of the club and member of the organizing committee.
- Muhammad Abdel Khaleq Tahoun, member of the organizing committee.
- Captain Alaa Hassan, member of the club’s board of directors and director of sports activity at North Cairo Company.
Supporting the leadership of North Cairo
The match also witnessed a remarkable presence by the leaders of the North Cairo Electricity Distribution Company to support the team, including:
- Alaa Naeem, vice president of the company and head of the sports committee.
- Engineer Sayed Suleiman, head of the company’s network sectors.
- Engineer Omar Fathi, head of the company’s technical affairs sectors.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Engineer Jaber Al-Desouki expressed his happiness with the organizational level and sportsmanship witnessed by the tournament, stressing that this tournament reflects the spirit of cooperation and cohesion among the people of the electricity sector, and supports the values of teamwork and excellence within the sector.
