Major General Ahmed Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Qazzaz, head of the Al-Waili neighborhood in Cairo Governorate, submitted his resignation to Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, in objection to the decision to transfer him from the Helwan neighborhood.

The text of Resolution No. 14 of 2026, a copy of which Cairo 24 obtained, revealed the acceptance of the resignation submitted by Major General Ahmed Ibrahim Ahmed Hassanein Al-Qazzaz, one of the occupants of the high rank within the group of local administration leadership positions.
Private sources confirmed to Cairo 24 that the resignation of the head of the Al-Waili neighborhood came against the backdrop of his objection to the decision to transfer him from the Helwan neighborhood, explaining that he had submitted a request to be transferred to one of the other vital neighborhoods, but the request was rejected, which prompted him to submit his resignation.
The sources added that Rasha Rajab Kamel, Secretary General of the Al-Waili neighborhood, is currently in charge of managing business, until an official decision is issued to appoint a new president for the neighborhood.
