Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun, Governor of Port Said, inspected the headquarters of the General Company for Wholesale Trade, Al-Manakh district branch, to follow up on the progress of the supply goods distribution system and ensure the availability of a safe stock of strategic and basic goods that meet the needs of the people of the governorate, in implementation of the mandates of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly during today’s Board of Governors meeting regarding intensifying field follow-up efforts for markets and commercial outlets.
During his tour, the governor inspected the company’s stores and was briefed on the work mechanism within the branch, which includes receiving, storing, and distributing food supplies in bulk to the various supply outlets in Port Said Governorate, ensuring that food supplies reach citizens regularly and without any obstacles.
The governor also reassured the availability of various goods and food supplies in sufficient quantities, and monitored the size of the strategic stock of basic goods, stressing the necessity of continuous monitoring of the distribution movement to ensure regular disbursement of food supplies to citizens on the specified dates.
Efficiency of the supply goods distribution system
The Governor of Port Said stressed the importance of adhering to the highest standards of organization within stores and distribution outlets, while monitoring the quality of the goods offered and continuous coordination between the competent authorities, ensuring the efficiency of the supply goods distribution system and providing citizens’ needs in a stable manner.
