The journalist confirmed Majdi Al-Jallad The necessity of actually implementing what President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi called for regarding the availability of “one opinion and another opinion,” noting that this principle is still absent from the media scene, in light of the dominance of one tone and the absence of pluralism in presentation.
He explained Majdi Al-JalladDuring an interview on the “Ink Secret” program, with journalist Asma Ibrahim, broadcast on the Cairo Wal Nas channel, he said that the Egyptian citizen must find, through television, radio, and newspapers, information flowing without censorship, and different opinions that reflect the diversity of society, stressing that the media, in its essence, is the civilized vessel for national dialogue, and must provide a real space for the emergence of all spectrums, providing the citizen with a “heavy meal” of opinions and analysis.
Magdi Al-Jallad added that the availability of this diversity and transparency will automatically push citizens to stay away from hostile channels, because a strong national media capable of dialogue is the most influential and credible.
Magdi Al-Jallad pointed out that the state’s assignment, under the direction of the President of the Republic, to the Prime Minister, to develop the media system, reflects the political leadership’s awareness of the existence of defects or weaknesses that need to be addressed, stressing that the power of the media is the power of the state, and that reforming it is a national necessity to enhance confidence and build informed public awareness.
