Mahmoud, one of the survivors of the tragic collision on Kafr Daoud Road in Sadat City in Menoufia Governorate, narrated the details of the last moments before and after the accident, which resulted in the death of 9 workers and the injury of others.
Mahmoud said, in exclusive statements to Cairo 24, that they were working on one of the poultry farms, and they left after the dawn prayer on their way back to their homes, and there were 11 people, two inside the car’s cabin and 9 others in its trunk, stressing that he did not feel the moment the collision occurred, and then he woke up lying on the asphalt.

He added that he was the only one among his colleagues who was awake, so he tried to check their condition, saying: “I was shaking them to see who was alive and who was dead,” in an attempt to save those who could be saved, before they were taken to the hospital to receive the necessary aid.
The survivor indicated that he was surprised by the death of 9 of his colleagues as a result of the accident, pointing out that despite his poor health condition, he insisted on leaving the hospital to attend their burial ceremony, but the doctors prevented him from doing so due to the seriousness of his condition, stressing that what he went through will remain engraved in his memory throughout his life.
