Car companies operating in the Egyptian market raised car prices for the second time in less than two weeks, by an increase of between 35 and 75 thousand pounds, following the rise in fuel prices and the decline in the value of the pound against the dollar, affected by the Iran war.
GB Auto Group, agent for the Hyundai brand, announced an increase in the prices of Hyundai Tucson cars by a value of 75 thousand pounds for various categories offered in the local market. It also announced an increase in the prices of Hyundai Elantra AD cars, model 2026, by a value of up to 35 thousand pounds for some categories.
This is the second price increase in March.
GB Auto, the local agent for the Changan brand in the Egyptian market, also notified its network of authorized distributors of the cancellation of the “cashback” offer on the imported version of the Changan CS55 Plus car, with a discount value of up to 100 thousand pounds. After the offer was cancelled, the car’s price rose to one million and 325 thousand pounds, compared to its previous price of one million and 225 thousand pounds.
A group of car companies raised the percentage of discounts on some cars and minibuses by rates ranging from 100 to 150 thousand pounds.
