Hisham Samir Antar said, while speaking to Cairo 24: We feel persecution being practiced against our family, and I wonder why he is talking about my grandfather, the late reader Antar Samir, and delving into the biography of a deceased person? He added: I do not know what new has emerged until we are talked about again.
He continued: The video that the head of the Reciters Syndicate has been talking about has been around for a long time, and I was summoned to the union about it and the matter is over, so why is it being talked about again? Continuing: If there is a mistake, we should be informed and these matters clarified, but the people of the Qur’an should not be defamed in this way, and I did not bring anything new.
He continued: I was surprised by the captain’s words about the video again, and I was surprised by his words about our family, my father, and my grandfather, explaining: We did not bring anything new to the Qur’an.
He explained: There are things that happen to me that I know nothing about.
Earlier, the Readers’ Syndicate, headed by Sheikh Muhammad Hashad, the head of the Readers’ Syndicate, appealed to the public not to deal with Hisham Samir Antar. Because his reading is incorrect.

The Syndicate has informed the competent authorities, adding: The Syndicate is following up with the Ministry of Endowments to amend the Syndicate’s law to control what happens from violating reciters.
