Hezbollah in Lebanon announced today, Wednesday, that it had targeted gatherings of Israeli soldiers in the Kiryat Shmona settlement in northern Israel, with a missile launcher, which it said resulted in “direct casualties.”
The party explained in an official statement that the operation took place at five o’clock in the evening, in response to what it described as the “Israeli aggression” that targeted dozens of Lebanese cities and towns, including the southern suburbs of Beirut.
The statement added that the targeting came after monitoring gatherings of Israeli army forces in the aforementioned area, noting that Israeli helicopters later intervened to evacuate the injured from the targeting site, according to what was stated in the text of the statement.
This development comes in light of the escalation of confrontations on the Lebanese-Israeli front, amid the continued exchange of bombing and strikes across the border.
