The Ministry of Health and Population, as part of the “100 Million Health” initiative, announced the most important symptoms associated with high blood pressure, stressing the necessity of measuring blood pressure on a regular basis for early detection and prevention of complications.

The Ministry confirmed that a person is considered to have high blood pressure if the blood pressure reading exceeds 140/90 mmHg, when measured several times at different times, noting that the most prominent symptoms associated with this condition are: constant headaches, dizziness, bleeding from the nose, irregular heartbeat, and ringing in the ears.

The Ministry stressed the importance of monitoring blood pressure regularly and following preventive measures to maintain health, noting that the initiative provides support and medical consultations to citizens via hotline 105 or 15335, in addition to communication through the Ministry’s official accounts on social media.

Through these awareness campaigns, the Ministry of Health and Population aims to reduce health complications resulting from high blood pressure, and to motivate citizens to adopt a healthy lifestyle that includes proper nutrition and regular physical activity.
