The Ministry of Health and Population, as part of the President’s initiative for early detection and treatment of cancerous tumors, announced a set of important guidelines for the prevention of colon cancer, stressing the importance of following a healthy lifestyle to reduce the risks.

The Ministry explained that the most important tips include: eating a lot of fresh vegetables, exercising regularly, staying away from smoking, and avoiding fast food that contains processed meat.
The Ministry of Health stressed the need to adhere to early detection and periodic medical follow-up, pointing out that these procedures help in the early detection of tumors and their effective treatment, as part of the state’s efforts to reduce cancerous diseases.
The Ministry confirmed that the initiative provides all means of support and medical consultations, and more information can be obtained through the hotline: 15335 – 105, or through the Ministry’s official accounts on social media platforms.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that four medical facilities affiliated with the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers had obtained new accreditations or renewed accreditation from the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control (GAHAR), as part of the Ministry’s strategy aimed at qualifying hospitals and centers to join the comprehensive health insurance system, enhancing quality and patient safety standards, and continuously improving the level of health care provided to citizens.
