The Ministry of Health and Population called on women to go to the doctor as soon as they notice any symptoms that may indicate cervical cancer, as part of the Ministry’s efforts to encourage early detection and timely treatment, in order to preserve women’s health.
5 symptoms that require going to the doctor to detect cervical cancer
The Ministry explained that the five symptoms that require urgent medical consultation include: unusual bleeding between menstrual cycles or after menopause, an increase or foul odor in vaginal discharge, persistent pain in the back, legs, or pelvis, weight loss, fatigue, loss of appetite, and swelling in the legs.
The Ministry stressed that early detection of cervical cancer increases the chances of successful treatment and reduces complications, stressing the importance of women following up on periodic examinations and continuing awareness of the symptoms of the disease.
In the context of awareness, the Ministry of Health called on all women to benefit from the services of the hotline 105 or 15335 to obtain medical advice and information about examination appointments and specialized clinics.
