Today, the Ministry of Health and Population announced a set of preventive guidelines to avoid bleeding gums, stressing the importance of daily oral and dental health care.

The Ministry said in an official publication that among the most important procedures to be followed are: brushing teeth with a soft toothbrush after every meal, using dental floss at least once a day, and visiting the dentist at least once every six months to remove the layer of plaque that is difficult to reach using only a brush.

The Ministry added that brushing should be done with warm water and salt, and avoid eating high-carbohydrate foods to prevent the formation of plaque on the teeth, while eating a lot of foods that contain a high percentage of fiber, such as apples, carrots, and brown bread, while staying away from smoking.

The Ministry stressed that if the problem persists, you must immediately go to the dentist to receive appropriate treatment.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health and Population, represented by the Free Treatment Administration, was awaiting the investigations of the General Syndicate of Physicians into Dr. Diaa Al-Awadi, to take the necessary legal and regulatory measures regarding the violations attributed to him, according to an official source in the Ministry of Health told Cairo 24.

The General Syndicate of Physicians explained, in an official statement, that the decision to refer Dr. Diaa Al-Awadhi for investigation came after he published medical content that included information that violated the scientific rules approved internationally and locally, in addition to directing medical instructions to patients in violation of the correct medical foundations, which may result in serious harm that threatens the safety of patients and violates the principles of safe medical practice.

For his part, the source confirmed that the results of the union’s ethics committee will have a direct role in determining the regulatory and legal measures that the Ministry of Health will take, pointing to the ministry’s ongoing follow-up of the progress of the investigations.
