According to the BBC, the victims spoke together for the first time in one room about their long suffering with psychological trauma, and recounted incidents of rape and exploitation that took place in various locations, from his apartment in New York to his notorious private island, Little St. James and Zoro’s Ranch in New Mexico.

The survivors also made veiled accusations against prominent political and artistic figures, including former US President Bill Clinton and British Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, indicating that these celebrities who had close relations with Epstein were likely aware of the sexual exploitation of minors going on behind closed doors, amid demands to open new investigations to reveal the full truth and hold those involved accountable.

According to the BBC, Joanna Harrison, one of the victims who preferred to remain silent for many years to escape the feeling of shame, spoke out, noting that she was forced to confront her after her identity was mistakenly revealed in millions of unredacted documents that the US Department of Justice recently released.

Harrison said: It comes to a point where you feel suffocated and need to breathe, and I feel like this is my way of trying to breathe. Harrison, who met Epstein in Florida when she was 18 years old, recalled how she froze in horror when he began assaulting her after a massage session, confirming that she was raped later on his birthday, and expressing her doubts that justice would be achieved one day after his mysterious death in prison.

Celebrities and presidents under suspicion

The interview witnessed the presentation of exclusive, previously unpublished photos presented by survivor Shonte Davis, documenting a trip on Epstein’s private plane to Africa, which included former US President Bill Clinton, actor Kevin Spacey, and Epstein’s convicted partner, Ghislaine Maxwell. Davis described the trip as a camp during which they visited 5 countries in 5 days to promote AIDS prevention, noting that she provided a massage to Clinton at an airport in Portugal.

Despite Clinton’s repeated assertions that he did not witness any abuse, Davis wondered whether he would have been able to stop these crimes if he had known about them, while Lisa Phillips, another survivor, supported this proposition when she spoke about her friend who, according to her claims, was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew in Epstein’s apartment in New York in 2003, accusations that the prince strongly denies.

Terrifying memories and an indelible psychological impact

Survivors agreed that the Zorro Ranch in New Mexico, which authorities recently reopened a criminal investigation into, was the scene of the most brutal assaults, with Davis describing the ranch as a dark, cold and scary place, which Phillips supported, saying she felt the place was really creepy.

According to the same source, Phillips indicated that Epstein was using his victims as a means to blackmail influential figures, as he once told her with a smile: I like to own things that condemn people.

It is noteworthy that during the meeting, and in a poignant moment in which sadness filled the studio, pictures of the victims were shown before they were subjected to exploitation, as Gina Lisa Jones and Wendy Pisanti, who met Epstein when they were 14 years old, looked at their old pictures, and Harrison summarized the tragedy by saying: I no longer smile the same way now, in a clear indication of the deep psychological scars that this exploitation left on their souls and their lives forever.
