The security services of the Ministry of Interior arrested an electrician on charges of tampering with meters by not calculating the actual consumption of subscribers.
Information and investigations from the General Administration of Electricity Police in the Economic Security Sector confirmed that a technician with criminal information, a resident of the Ain Shams Police Department in Cairo, tampered with the internal parts of the electrical meters in order not to calculate the actual consumption of subscribers.

After coordinating the procedures with the Public Security Sector, he was able to arrest him, and he was in possession of a bag containing disassembly and installation equipment, electrical wires, and when confronted, he confessed to committing 18 incidents in the same manner, and legal measures were taken against the violating participants.
This comes within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Interior to combat electricity theft crimes.
