The village of Ikhnawi, affiliated with the Tanta Center District in Gharbia Governorate, witnessed an unfortunate incident during the day of the month of Ramadan, after a husband assaulted his wife using a cleaver in one of the streets of the village, which resulted in her being seriously injured.

The security services in the Gharbia Security Directorate had received a notification stating that a quarrel had been reported and a woman had been seriously injured inside the village of Ikhnawi in the Tanta Center district.

Immediately, a force from the security services in the Tanta Center Department moved to the place of the report, and the examination revealed that a husband had assaulted his wife using a white weapon (a cleaver) in one of the streets of the village, which led to her being seriously injured, and she was transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary first aid and medical care.
The necessary legal measures were taken regarding the incident, a report was drawn up regarding the incident, and the investigating authorities were notified, which began investigations to uncover the circumstances of the incident.
