Actress Hend Sabry announced her upcoming artistic plans in cinema after the end of the month of Ramadan, following the great success she achieved through the series Manaa, which was shown in Ramadan 2026.
Hend Sabry said in her interview with Cairo 24 that she will continue filming the film The Weakest Creature, in which the star Ahmed Helmy co-stars, under the supervision of director Omar Hilal.
Hend Sabry also revealed her willingness to work on the film Hamlet, with director Ahmed Fawzi Saleh, stressing that she hopes that her next artistic steps will be different and successful, just like her recent experience in the series Immunity.
Hend Sabry added that the reason for her absence from cinema during the recent period was that she was waiting for an artistic work that befits her path and reflects her artistic orientations.
The works of Hend Sabry
It is noteworthy that the series “Immunity” takes place in a popular context within the Batinia neighborhood, returning to the seventies and eighties, where Hend Sabry embodies the character of a woman who transforms from a helpless wife, after her husband was killed in the contraband trade, to a strong woman who faces difficulties to protect her family. The series deals with the world of drugs and social conflicts, highlighting the concept of psychological immunity in the face of cruelty.
Action heroes
Riyad Al-Khouly, Khaled Selim, Maha Nassar, Ahmed Al-Shami, Imad Safwat, and Mimi Gamal participate in the series, along with a number of artists and guests of honor. The series is written by Amr Al-Dali, directed by Hussein Al-Manbawi, and produced by United Studios.
Earlier, Hend Sabry explained in statements to Cairo 24 that Imnaa attracted her from the first moment because of his clear and interesting story, which relies on traditional dramatic narration, which she believes the audience sometimes misses in the crowd of works of a direct nature, indicating that she felt that the timing was appropriate to return through this work in particular.
Regarding the series’ evocation of the esoteric atmosphere of the 1980s, she stressed that that era carried great visual and dramatic temptation, whether in terms of music, fashion, or the nature of social relations, pointing out that the esoteric region was associated in the public’s memory with important works, including what was presented by the star Nadia Al-Jundi, but Manna offers a different treatment and a new humanitarian angle.
