Google announced the launch of Lyria 3, the latest music generation model from Google DeepMind, which has become available globally through the Google Gemini platform in several languages, including Arabic (beta version), and will soon be available on mobile devices.
The form allows users to create innovative music clips by simply writing a simple description of what they want to hear, such as: “A joyful modern music clip that mixes Arabic and Western rhythms on the occasion of the month of Ramadan.” Within seconds, Gemini converts the description into a high-quality 30-second audio clip, available to all platform users.
The Lyria 3 model can be activated in three main ways, including: converting text into a music clip by describing the mood or type of music required, and converting an image or video into a music clip inspired by their atmosphere, where Gemini composes music and words that match the content of the image or video, in addition to creating a custom cover art for each clip using the Nano Banana image generation model.
Music clips are easy to share with friends via direct download or through an instant sharing link, in a move that aims to provide a new creative way to express feelings and celebrate occasions, and not to produce complete songs in the traditional sense.
Google confirmed that all clips created via Gemini carry an invisible watermark with SynthID technology, which allows the identification of content created by artificial intelligence. The company also provides additional tools to verify audio content, where users can upload any file and ask Gemini if it was created using Google Forms, so the system will analyze the file and detect the presence of a SynthID.
The company stressed that the Lyria 3 model was designed to support original creativity and not imitate specific artists, explaining that if the user’s request includes the name of a specific artist, Gemini deals with it as a general inspiration for the musical style or atmosphere without direct imitation.
In a related context, Google launched a service for designing Ramadan greeting cards through the Nano Banana model for generating images and modifying them using ready-made templates in Arabic and English, through the website goo.gle/ramadancards, where users can download cards and share them easily with friends and loved ones.
This step comes within the framework of Google’s keenness to employ technologies artificial intelligence To enrich the digital experience of users during the month of Ramadan, through tools that combine artistic creativity and ease of use, and open new horizons for communication and participation in an innovative manner.
