The Dar es Salaam area in Cairo Governorate witnessed a humanitarian incident, after a video clip was circulated on the TikTok application documenting the moment a young girl named Habiba was found, in an attempt to reach her family.

According to what the video showed, a young man named Youssef, accompanied by a supermarket owner, claimed to find the child in front of the store’s door on Thursday evening, corresponding to the Eid al-Fitr pause, immediately after the evening prayer, and the child was carrying a small school bag with some stationery for sale inside.
The store owner explained that he did not hesitate to provide assistance to the child, as he took her to his residence, provided her with food and clothing, as well as a safe place to stay the night, waiting for her family to reach her.
In an attempt to speed up the search process, the supermarket owner turned to a young man known for posting content on social media platforms. The latter posted the video on TikTok, hoping that the clip would reach the child’s family or anyone who could identify her.
The video received widespread interaction among users, who called for it to be quickly disseminated on a larger scale, to help return the child to her family, amid widespread praise for the humanitarian stance of the shop owner and the young man who sought to publicize the incident.
