Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Social Solidarity witnessed an exceptional event that took place for the first time, as the Mufti of Egypt conducted a lottery for pilgrims from civil society organizations for the year 2026, in the presence of Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, and a number of the ministry’s leaders and representatives of civil society institutions.

The organization of the lottery came within the framework of ensuring the highest levels of transparency and fairness among applicants to perform the Hajj pilgrimage through the programs of civil society associations, where the names were chosen electronically without any human intervention.

Ali Gomaa to pilgrims: Do not forget to pray for Egypt because it needs prayers

Meanwhile, Dr. Ali Gomaa, the former Mufti of the Republic and a member of the Council of Senior Scholars at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, said that the Hajj journey is something every believer longs for, and every sin before that journey is forgiven, whatever it may be, pointing out that faith in God alone moves a person from the circle of distress and misguidance to architecture.

Dr. Ali Gomaa added, during his speech a short while ago at a press conference during the holding of the lottery for the Hajj of civil society organizations in 2026: Oh, whoever wrote this beginning for him and wrote this journey for him.. And do not forget to pray for Egypt because it needs prayers.. This is the good land that God mentioned about 80 times in the Holy Qur’an, and it is a land like which there is nothing in those villages.

Dr. Ali Gomaa continued: Praise be to God who made us Egyptians and bestowed upon us this blessing.
