Today, Sunday, the city of Ras Sidr in South Sinai is witnessing a temporary power outage in a number of the city’s neighborhoods, starting at nine in the morning and for an estimated period of about 4 hours, or until maintenance work is completed.
Regular maintenance work
The local unit of the city of Ras Sidr explained, in a statement, that the city’s electrical engineering is carrying out periodic maintenance work that includes the following areas:
Al-Taawoun “Posta” gas station in Abu Sweira, and the surrounding area, from 9 am to 1 pm for periodic maintenance on a group of electrical transformers.
Important alerts for citizens
It is recommended not to restart electrical appliances immediately after the power returns until it stabilizes. Unplug phone chargers and electrical appliances during the outage period, and be careful to avoid damage to the devices as a result of power fluctuations when they return.
These works come within the framework of the regular maintenance plan to improve the efficiency of the electrical network and ensure the stability of service in the targeted areas.
The local unit stresses that bakery owners in these areas must arrange their needs and finish work before the power is cut off.
It is noteworthy that the South Sinai Electricity Company carries out periodic maintenance work in all cities of the governorate, one day a week in each city, to maintain electrical transformers.
