The Qena Water and Sanitation Company announced that it had cut off drinking water in 13 areas, today, Friday, for a period of 10 hours due to replacement and renovation work at a sewage station in the city of Qena.

Qena Water explained in a statement that, due to the replacement and renovation work currently underway at the Al-Nahhal sewage lifting station, which includes parts of the station’s flushing line, and to implement the connection work between what has been completed inside the station and the flushing line outside it, this requires stopping the Al-Nahal sewage lifting station and leaving it out of service for a period of 10 hours.
She indicated that water will be cut off from the areas served by the Al-Nahhal sewage pumping station, which are: Al-Kunoz – Al-Shu’un and Ra’i Qasab – The Detention Center – Al-Safwa and Umm Al-Faraj areas – Al-Nahhal – Sheikh Younis – Pasta Factory – Misr Aswan Street – Military Governor – Spinning Factory Street – Kilometer 6, explaining that drinking water will be cut off starting from eight o’clock in the evening today, Friday, and until six o’clock in the morning on Saturday.
The company called on citizens and owners of bakeries and vital facilities to manage their water needs during the outage period, stressing that work is being done in full swing to complete the work as quickly as possible and restore service immediately upon completion.
