I witnessed Vegetable prices There was a state of relative stability in the Obour wholesale market during today’s trading, Friday, March 20, 2026, with a slight variation in some items as a result of different distribution areas and transportation costs.
This coincides with the increased demand for purchasing vegetables in preparation for the days of Eid al-Fitr 2026.
Vegetable prices
The prices were as follows:
- Tomatoes: 15 to 25 pounds
- Potatoes: 6 to 11 pounds
- White onions: 7 to 11 pounds
- Zucchini: 12 to 18 pounds
- Carrots: 8 to 10 pounds
- Green beans: 20 to 40 pounds
- Local eggplant: from 14 to 22 pounds
- Local bell pepper: from 21 to 25 pounds
- Local cucumber: from 14 to 20 pounds
- Garlic: 10 to 14 pounds
This stability is due to the availability of supply in the markets, with the continued impact of transportation costs and differences in regions on the final selling prices to the consumer.
