Under the patronage of Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Fayoum, and within the framework of the governorate’s celebration of Orphan Day, which falls on the first Friday of April every year, the General Administration for Activating Tourism in the governorate, under the supervision of Dr. Moataz Ahmed Abdel Fattah, Director General of Tourism, in coordination with the concerned authorities, organized an entertaining and educational tourist trip for children of orphanages.

Fayoum Tourism celebrates Orphan Day

The itinerary included the trip, which comes within the framework of keenness Governorate To stimulate local tourism and support the most vulnerable groups, by visiting a number of the most prominent tourist and natural attractions in the governorate, including: Tunis Village, the Fayoum Arts Center “Caricature Museum”, and the Pottery School. It also included a visit to the Wadi El Rayan Reserve, and one of the hotels overlooking Lake Qarun.

The trip program also included: Visiting the Wadi Al Rayyan Reserve, where children enjoyed watching waterfalls and stunning landscapes and spending quality time in the lap of nature, in a rich experience that combined entertainment and education. It also included organizing a number of recreational activities, including a swimming competition inside the hotel’s swimming pool, which added an atmosphere of joy and happiness among the children.

The Director General of Tourism in the governorate indicated that this event comes within the framework of Fayoum Governorate’s keenness to strengthen the societal role and support the state’s efforts to stimulate domestic tourism, in addition to introducing young people to the tourism, natural and heritage elements that the governorate abounds, and consolidating their spirit of belonging.
