Dr. Jacqueline Azer, Governor of Beheira, announced the continuation of raising the level of maximum preparedness and periodic follow-up to remove water accumulations immediately and ensure the regularity of traffic movement in all streets and squares, immediately after some of the governorate’s centers were exposed to a wave of weather fluctuations and rainfall, and as a result of advance forecasts from the Meteorological Authority.

The Governor of Beheira directed that the operations rooms in the local units be permanently convened 24 hours a day, and to link them to the command and control unit in the governorate’s general office to receive reports and deal with them immediately.

While the governorate witnessed an expanded deployment of all equipment, technical crews, and devices, in accordance with the advance action plan to deal immediately, reduce the resulting effects, and remove water accumulations in the streets, squares, and villages of the governorate, in coordination between the work teams in the local units, and the Water, Sanitation, Electricity, and Civil Protection Company.

She indicated that Beheira Governorate prepared for the winter and rainy season with more than 1,500 equipment and crews, in addition to suction machines, equipment, and civil protection units to intervene immediately and remove water accumulations immediately.

Dr. Jacqueline Azer stressed that the governorate will spare no effort in providing all the necessary capabilities and support to field teams to overcome any obstacles and ensure the safety of citizens, while continuing to communicate with the Meteorological Authority to constantly monitor weather conditions and implement all proactive and emergency measures to confront the effects of unstable weather.

She called on citizens to be careful while driving, especially in areas where water pools occur, and to stay away from light poles and exposed electrical wires, while reporting any emergency to ensure the rapid intervention of the specialized teams.
