Tomorrow, Sunday, Egypt will host the North African Football Federation Championship for Schools, organized by the North African Football Federation, which qualifies for the African Football Championship for Schools, during the period from January 25 to 27, at the stadiums of the National Teams Center in 6th of October City.
North African Football Federation Championship for Schools
The teams of Egypt, Algeria and Morocco will participate in the tournament at the level of boys’ and girls’ U-15 teams, in cooperation with the Ministries of Education, Youth and Sports and the Egyptian Football Association, within the framework of a strategy to support and spread school football, and discover and refine young talents in the countries of the northern continent.
On the sidelines of the competitions, several specialized workshops are being held in the fields of training, arbitration, media and child protection, in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), within the framework of the North African Federation’s plan to qualify technical, administrative and media personnel, and to enhance the exchange of experiences between the participating countries.
Dr. Hatem Sorour, director of the tournament, confirmed that Egypt’s hosting of this event reflects its distinguished organizational capacity and its pivotal role in supporting the activities and programs of the North African Football Federation, noting that the tournament represents an important platform for consolidating the concept of school football as a basic base for building future teams.
