The Supply Directorate was launched In AssiutIn coordination with its external departments, intensive ration campaigns were carried out on a number of governorate centers, including visits and inspections of municipal, tourist and French bakeries, in addition to commercial stores, markets, stores, butane depots, gas stations, ration operators and my association project.
Intensive food campaigns
This comes within the framework of the directives of Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor of Assiut, on the necessity of intensifying ration campaigns throughout the governorate, and tightening control over ration and commercial activities.
Khaled Mohamed Ahmed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Assiut, indicated that the directorate and all its departments launched a number of intensive ration campaigns to ensure the extent of compliance with the ration laws and decisions regulating the markets.
The campaigns were carried out in conjunction with Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Rashwan Al-Zaidi, Head of Supply Investigations, and Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Abdel Karim, Undersecretary of the Administration.
The campaigns resulted in the writing of the following records:
First: In the field of markets, 8 bags of local flour were seized, 1,500 loaves of subsidized local bread were collected illegally, 10 bags of feed without invoices were seized, 14 kg of meat slaughtered outside the government slaughterhouse, 130 packages of sparkling bubbles inside a supermarket in violation of the law were seized.
9 minutes were issued for the closure of butane warehouses, 18 minutes were issued for failure to announce the prices of butane cylinders, a report was issued for the sale of butane cylinders at more than the official price, and 500 butane cylinders were seized, 26 minutes were issued for the closure of food dealers, 15 reports were issued for failure to announce the prices of food supplies, 14 reports were issued for the sale of cigarettes at more than the set price, 7 minutes were issued. Carrying out an activity without a license, 35 reports were issued for not announcing prices for shops, cafes, restaurants and commercial establishments, 3 reports were issued for not carrying health certificates.
Second: In the field of bakeries, a number of 333 reports were issued for municipal bakeries, varying between reports of underweight, non-compliance with specifications, lack of cleanliness, lack of an advertising data board, closure with iron locks, partial stoppage, lack of a weighing scale, disposal of quantities of flour, and failure to give cash to citizens.
The Supply Directorate in Assiut confirmed the continuation of daily ration campaigns, and taking all necessary legal measures against violators, in order to preserve the rights of citizens and ensure that support reaches those who deserve it.
