The Emirates News Agency reported that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, discussed with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi various paths of cooperation and joint work, especially in the economic and development fields, and the possibilities of developing them in a way that serves the development priorities and common interests of the two countries and brings goodness and development to their peoples.
The Emirates News Agency explained that this came during Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed’s meeting today with President Sisi, who is on a fraternal visit to the UAE.
Developments in the situation in the Middle East region
The meeting also touched on developments in the situation in the Middle East region in light of the escalating military actions and their serious repercussions on regional and international security and stability.
In this context, President Sisi renewed his condemnation of the blatant Iranian attacks that continue to target the UAE and a number of sister countries in the region due to the violation of their sovereignty and international laws, stressing Egypt’s solidarity with the UAE towards all the measures it takes to protect its security and the safety of its lands and citizens.
The two sides stressed the need to immediately stop the escalation and resort to serious dialogue and diplomatic means to settle the various outstanding issues in the region in a way that avoids further security tensions and crises and preserves regional security and stability.
