Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Giza, conducted a surprise evening field tour to follow up on the efforts of the executive agencies in raising the level of cleanliness and addressing occupancy and encroachments on the public road, in a number of vital axes and streets within the Al-Haram, Boulaq Al-Dakrour and Agouza neighborhoods.

The governor’s tour included the areas of Al-Libini, Mariouteya, Faisal, Amr bin Al-Aas Corridor, Ali bin Abi Talib Road, and Nahia, in order to determine the level of presence of work teams during the night periods and ensure immediate dealing with any occupancy or encroachments that impede traffic movement, in addition to monitoring the state of public cleanliness.
During the tour, the Governor of Giza directed the head of the Haram district to firmly confront the occupancy of cafes and cafés on Al-Libini Street and the areas surrounding Faisal and Mariouteya, and not to allow encroachment on the right of way or obstruct the movement of citizens.
In implementation of the governor’s mandates, a massive campaign was organized that resulted in the removal of 130 road occupancy cases, in addition to the removal of 25 iron stakes that were used to illegally block parking spaces.
The governor also made a number of observations regarding the level of cleanliness in some sectors in the Al-Haram and Boulaq Al-Dakrour neighborhoods, stressing to the Cleaning and Beautification Authority the need to intensify efforts and raise the efficiency of the cleaning system, especially during the evening periods.
During his tour, the governor observed random sorting of waste on Al-Libini Street, directing the head of the Al-Haram district to quickly deal firmly with the violation and take the necessary legal measures to prevent its recurrence, in order to preserve the cultural appearance of the area.
