The National Network for Emergency and Public Safety Control Center in the Red Sea Governorate announced the continuation of Internet cable maintenance work in the city Halayeb.

Due to the meltdown of the fiber cable, Internet cable maintenance work continues in the city of Halayeb

On Sunday morning, the city of Halayeb and the village of Abu Ramad, south of the Red Sea, witnessed an outage in communications services, after a report was received from the head of the city of Halayeb to the Red Sea Governorate Operations Room stating that communications networks in the region had stopped.

It turned out that the reason for the internet outage was that the Halayeb fiber cable was found in a state of melting as a result of overheating or the presence of a nearby fire, as the cable was on the surface of the ground in front of the Shalatin Mineral Resources Company building under construction, and the cable was being repaired by technicians.

The National Emergency and Public Safety Network Control Center in the Red Sea Governorate announced that communications and Internet service were not affected in the city of Shalatin.
