Dr. Khaled Montaser criticized one of the dialogue sentences spoken by the artist Muhammad Imam During his series Al-King, which I consider an insult to gynecologists and obstetricians.
Khaled Montaser said on his Facebook account: The biggest dramatic fall of Ramadan, in a sentence and a phrase, was when the hardworking artist and actor Mohamed Adel Imam, about whom I know his respect and morals, in the series “The King” said to his wife during the birth process: “You like my appearance, and men are doing this to you.”
Khaled Montaser added: Meaning, “It is not enough for what men have done to you.” The sentence “the man” means the gynecologist, and it also means the process of obstetrics!! It is a sentence that carries uncivilized connotations and rotten ideas that came out of the caves of the Stone Age… Extravagance other than comedy, and the fact that I want to make people laugh does not mean that I use women as a goofy commodity for men, and to play with an extremist Salafist mood that prevails in society, instead of standing up to it and trying to change it.
Khaled Montaser added: During these moments, the doctor is not preoccupied with the appearance of a genital organ, nor the nudity of a woman, nor does he pay attention to any femininity or sexual fantasies that you refer to, Your Honor. His only concern is saving that woman who is in labor, on the threshold of a beautiful and terrifying maternity mission. The doctor is immersed in groans of pain and blood, and it is possible that drops of urine and.., an umbilical cord suspended in a mass of bloody flesh called the placenta, and a child between life and death, everyone is waiting for. His first screams, and it calls for concentration on all his vital signs.. A doctor focuses on the pressure of the mother and herself and the endurance of the uterine and abdominal muscles, and is the pelvis narrow or not? And will the position of the fetus allow it to descend, or will it suffocate? A thousand and one questions running through the mind of this doctor who is experiencing the most stressful moments for human beings in history?
Montaser concluded: And after all that, an artist comes to deny the sanctity of that moment with a silly expression, and to write off its philosophy and its deep human significance for the sake of a stupid joke, a sarcastic flirtation, and a contribution to further backwardness, a decline in taste and a decline in the level of the moral sense of society. Gynecologists, artist, are not psychopaths. When you talk about a sick person, do not make it a general rule, and when you practice art, bear responsibility for that sublime message.
