During the current period, Dakahlia Governorate is witnessing work to develop and raise the efficiency of the Mansoura Culture Palace, within the framework of a plan aimed at reviving the cultural and artistic movement in the governorate, and providing an appropriate environment for discovering young talents and supporting creative activities.

The Mansoura Culture Palace is considered one of the most important cultural edifices in Dakahlia Governorate, as it hosts throughout the year many cultural and artistic events and activities, including theatrical performances, literary seminars, and art exhibitions, in addition to workshops aimed at developing the skills of children and youth in the fields of literature, music, and plastic arts.

In this context, Dr. Hussein Maghribi, Deputy Governor of Dakahlia, inspected the ongoing development work at the palace in implementation of the assignments of Major General Tariq Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, to follow up on implementation rates and find out what has been accomplished within the governorate’s plan to upgrade cultural facilities.

The development work included installing modern audio equipment for the Umm Kulthum Theater inside the palace, in addition to developing the Roman Theater and raising the efficiency of the civil protection system, ensuring a safe and equipped environment to receive various cultural and artistic events.

The Deputy Governor stressed that the development of the Mansoura Culture Palace comes within the framework of the Governor of Dakahlia’s interest in supporting cultural activities and restoring the palace to its vital role as a beacon of creativity, especially in light of the governorate’s youthful energies and promising talents in various artistic and literary fields.

It is expected that the completion of the development work will contribute to revitalizing the cultural movement in the governorate, and provide more space for organizing theatrical performances, artistic events, and cultural seminars, in a way that enhances community awareness and encourages young people to participate in creative activities.

The governorate is also working in coordination with the concerned authorities to exploit the palace’s capabilities in organizing various cultural festivals and events, with the aim of transforming it into a cultural attraction that serves the people of Dakahlia and restores its status as one of the most prominent cultural platforms in the Egyptian Delta.
