Official sources at the Directorate of Education in Giza Governorate revealed that the Directorate is taking the utmost seriousness regarding the incident circulated on social media, of a quarrel between students in front of the Horus Experimental Language School inside one of the compounds in 6th of October City, which sparked a state of controversy and anxiety among parents.
The sources added, during exclusive statements to Cairo 24, that deterrent measures are scheduled to be taken in the coming hours with the parties to the October School quarrel, within the framework of preserving the security and safety of students inside and around educational facilities, and preventing the recurrence of such events that represent a danger to the school community.
Regarding the details of the quarrel incident, the sources indicated that it dates back to a previous dispute between a number of students, which broke out a few days ago inside one of the malls in the October Gardens area, before the events renewed in front of the school, and went out of their way to turn into a mass brawl in front of the school gate.

Meanwhile, the sources explained, in exclusive statements to Cairo 24, that the student who appeared in the video clip holding a sharp tool “knife” is not enrolled in the Horus Experimental Language School, stressing that the incident is currently under investigation to determine all its circumstances and precisely determine responsibilities.
She added that the investigations are continuing, and are scheduled to be completed after the end of the evening exams today, explaining that the students involved in the quarrel and seen in the video clip are enrolled in the first year of secondary school.
The sources stressed that if it is proven that the student carrying the sharp tool is enrolled in one of the other schools, the necessary legal measures will be taken against him without tolerance, which may lead to his expulsion from his school, in parallel with notifying the competent authorities to take what is legally necessary.
Social media followers circulated a video clip showing a number of students gathering in front of the school and exchanging attacks in a scene akin to a “street brawl,” which sparked a state of anxiety, especially with a number of female students appearing in a state of fear and confusion, amid demands to quickly move and take decisive measures to deter the perpetrators and ensure that the incident does not reoccur.
