The executive agencies in Menoufia Governorate, in full cooperation with the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, continue their intensive efforts to raise rainwater collections from various centers, cities and villages of the governorate, for the second day in a row, in implementation of the directives of Major General Amr Al-Gharib, Governor of Menoufia, regarding the necessity of field presence and immediate dealing with the repercussions of bad weather conditions.
Dealing with rainwater in Menoufia
Throughout the governorate, water suction equipment and fountain vehicles were deployed, in addition to the sanitation company’s maintenance and emergency teams, as they were pushed to the main and side streets and vital areas to quickly deal with water accumulations, ensuring traffic flow and not disrupting the movement of citizens.
Heads of local units in Menoufia follow up on rainwater harvesting
The heads of the local units in the various centers and cities have been following up on the work in the field since the early hours of this morning, while supervising the distribution of equipment and work teams according to the most affected assembly points, in addition to continuous traffic on rain drains and gutters to ensure their efficiency and the speed of water drainage as they go.
The governorate confirmed that the operating rooms are working around the clock in coordination with all concerned authorities, to monitor any water accumulations and deal with them immediately, stressing that the state of maximum preparedness will continue until all effects resulting from the bad weather wave are removed.
The governorate thanked the field work teams and sanitation workers for their great efforts in difficult weather conditions, stressing that this coordination between the localities and the water and sanitation company effectively contributed to reducing the effects of rain in various parts of Menoufia Governorate, and preserving the safety of citizens.
