Contestant Walid Salah Attia cried when talking about his father, during the third episode of the State of Recitation program, where he said: My father did everything with me. He took the rights of my sisters to teach me the Qur’an, and he said, “I don’t want anything from you other than memorizing the Qur’an correctly, so please pray for him that God will prolong his life.”

While the jury praised the performance of contestant Walid Salah in the State of Recitation program, where he said:

-Sheikh Hassan Abdul Nabi: His reading is good and his rules of Tajweed are perfect and he has a future

-Taha Abdel Wahab: He has a lot of melody, and the choice of class was high

-Taha Al-Numani: It is beautiful and the provisions are perfect, but the cuts in the verse are not perfect, but this is not a defect

Meanwhile, the jury of the “State of Recitation” program, broadcast on Al-Nas and Al-Hayat channels, received contestant Mohamed Maher Shafiq Al-Shennawi, amid a warm welcome and applause from the audience, as he began his journey in reading the Holy Qur’an, expressing his happiness at being in the program and achieving his dream of recitation.

Muhammad Maher emphasized that the real supporters in his life are his parents, his uncle, and his brother, in addition to his teachers who encouraged and supported him in his career, stressing that this support had a great impact on him reaching this special moment.

Muhammad began his recitation with verses from Surat al-Ra’ad, following the rules of intonation, where he drew the committee’s attention to the strength and distinctiveness of his voice, despite some comments on the beginning of the recitation in verses such as “that you may seek bounty from your Lord” and “and that you may know the number of years and the reckoning,” and they pointed out the need to pay attention to the vocal breaks and length in some words.
