Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Giza, announced that classes today in all schools in the governorate will be postponed for one day, due to the bad weather conditions the country is witnessing and out of concern for the safety of students.
The governor explained that the decision comes in light of the continuous monitoring of the Meteorological Authority’s reports, which indicate that the country is exposed to a wave of unstable weather, accompanied by rainfall of varying intensity and wind activity, which may affect the regularity of the educational process and the safety of students.
The Governor of Giza confirmed that all executive agencies in the governorate are in permanent session, through the control center of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network, to follow developments in weather conditions around the clock, and to deal immediately with any repercussions.
The governor also stressed raising the maximum level of preparedness in all neighborhoods, centers, and cities, in coordination with utility companies, especially the drinking water and sanitation company, with the payment of water suction vehicles and the necessary equipment to quickly deal with rainwater accumulations in streets and squares.
