The Ministry of Education and Technical Education has set Thursday, March 26, 2026, as the last date for submitting applications for educational integration for high school students with minor disabilities, as part of preparations for holding the 2026 high school exams.

Conditions for integration students to take the high school exams

The Ministry of Education allowed integration students enrolled in general education schools to apply for the general secondary school completion certificate exam, on the condition that:

  • The student must be integrated since the beginning of secondary school.
  • Or he must be transferred from special education schools to at least the second year of secondary school in general education schools.
  • Exceptional application cases due to force majeure circumstances
  • The Ministry indicated that if the guardian submits a request for the student to take the third year secondary school exam directly in the same year as a result of his exposure to a coercive circumstance that led to the occurrence of a disability, he is required to:
  • Submitting a medical report approved by the Supreme Medical Committee of the Educational Directorate.
  • Complete the procedures through the General Administration of Special Education

Categories to which the educational integration system is applied

The Ministry explained that Ministerial Resolution No. 252 of 2017 and Ministerial Resolution No. 27 of 2023 specified the categories to which the educational integration system is applied in schools, and they include:

Mild mental disability
Slow learners
Cerebral palsy
Autism spectrum disorder
Down syndrome
Blindness
Poor eyesight
Hearing impaired
Motor disabilities.
