Major General Amr Al-Gharib, Governor of Menoufia, held an expanded meeting with officials of the health sector in Menoufia Governorate, today, to follow up on the readiness of hospitals and raise the degree of preparedness coinciding with the approaching Eid Al-Fitr, as part of the keenness to improve the level of medical services provided to citizens.

He confirmed Governor At the beginning of the meeting, he stated that citizen health represents a red line, stressing that he would not allow any negligence within hospitals, with the necessity of building a disciplined health system that depends on the quality of service and the good treatment of patients and their families, stressing that field presence is the true criterion for evaluating performance.
The governor directed to raise the maximum degree of readiness in all hospitals, organize medical staff shifts, activate operating rooms, and link them to the National Emergency Network control center, to ensure rapid intervention and the provision of decent medical services throughout the days of Eid.
He stressed the preparation of an integrated emergency plan during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, ensuring that service continues to be provided efficiently, and that there are no overcrowding or shortages in medical services.
During the meeting, the governor assigned the Director of the Health Directorate to take a number of decisive measures, most notably preparing a comprehensive inventory of all broken medical devices in hospitals, reviewing maintenance contracts to ensure operational efficiency, in addition to reviewing the contracts of contract doctors and terminating contracts with those who are not influential in improving the service.
He also directed a comprehensive inventory of the shortages of medicines and medical supplies and work to provide them immediately, in addition to preparing daily reports from health department directors that include the actual manpower in hospitals and absence rates, to be presented to him directly.
The directives extended to include reviewing the performance of security, hygiene and nutrition companies within hospitals, to ensure improvement in the level of services provided in various aspects.
The governor indicated that he will not tolerate any negligence that is observed, especially in light of the observations that were recorded during the surprise rounds, stressing at the same time his full support for every official who works sincerely to develop the health system, stressing that the primary goal is to provide a medical service worthy of citizens.
