I witnessed Poultry prices The Egyptian local market stabilized during the beginning of trading today, Friday, March 20, 2026, amid increasing demand on the occasion of the first day of Eid al-Fitr 2026, and white poultry recorded between 100 and 105 pounds per kilo depending on the regions, in light of market movements and attempts to stimulate demand.
Poultry prices today
Regarding the rest of the species, the prices of turkeys ranged between 140 and 150 pounds per kilo, while the prices of ducks recorded levels between 130 and 140 pounds, with continued reliance on imports to meet the market’s needs for turkeys due to limited local production.
Poultry prices also decreased in some companies, such as Mounir Al-Sakka, where white poultry prices reached about 85 pounds, while Sasso poultry prices reached about 100 pounds.
As for the prices of chicks, they ranged between 11 and 12 pounds, amid relative stability in production inputs.
This decline comes in light of government moves to support the poultry sector, through the expansion of integrated projects and increasing export opportunities to foreign markets, especially in the Gulf countries, in addition to the state’s endeavor to achieve a balance between production and local consumption.
