A new scientific report has reignited the debate over what is known as the Miracle Mineral Solution, or MMS, a dangerous chemical mixture that has been marketed for years as a magic cure for serious diseases such as… Cancer And autism and even Covid-19, despite warnings from global health authorities about its deadly risks, according to what was published in the New York Post.

What is MMS and why is it dangerous?

This mixture is sold in two small bottles; One contains 28% sodium chlorite, while the other contains an acidic substance used as an activator that, when mixed, produces chlorine dioxide, a powerful bleaching agent used industrially in water treatment, surface disinfection, and whitening of paper and textiles.

Federal health authorities warn that consuming this solution is practically similar to drinking household bleach, stressing that its use may lead to serious symptoms such as severe vomiting, diarrhea, low blood pressure, liver damage, and may even lead to life-threatening danger.

Some promote the idea that the violent side effects of MMS are evidence of “expelling the parasites” that cause autism, but medical studies conclusively confirm that there is no relationship between autism and parasites, bacteria, or viruses.

In a recent study issued by the Wrocław Medical University in Poland, researchers conducted an analysis of the effects of the main substance that makes up MMS, which is acidic sodium chlorite.

The team tested the solution against several types of bacteria, such as Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, and although the substance showed an ability to kill bacteria, its effectiveness only appeared at high concentrations that are toxic to human cells.

The researchers also studied the effect of the solution on the biofilms that bacteria use for protection, finding that it actually dissolves them, but with significant damage to the surrounding tissue.

Direct danger to beneficial bacteria

The team also revealed that MMS destroys beneficial bacteria in the gut, meaning it could seriously disrupt the gut microbiome even at lower doses.

The active ingredient in MMS is allowed to a maximum of 0.8 parts per million in drinking water treatment, but according to the instructions for mixing the “miracle solution,” the concentration reaches a level 25 times higher than that, making it a corrosive substance that can cause serious damage to the digestive system.

Dr. Ruth Dudek-Witcher, a participant in the study, confirmed that MMS does not have any proven medical benefits, while its risks represent a direct threat to patients, especially when it is sold indiscriminately to children and pregnant women or promoted as a treatment for obesity.

She added that the team is working to expose the “miracle cures” spread on the Internet, which may put people’s lives at risk due to misleading medical information.
