Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney expressed his government’s deep concern about the military escalation in the Middle East, after a series of strikes launched by forces. Iranian It led to widespread international reactions.

Carney’s statements came during international communications and positions, where he stressed that the continuation of hostilities represents a failure of the international system in managing conflicts, calling on all parties to immediately stop hostilities and seek a diplomatic solution.
In his contacts with the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Carney stressed that Canada condemns Iranian attacks on civilian infrastructure, and sees them as a blatant violation of the principles of international law and a threat to regional and international security and stability.
He added that his priority now is to reduce the escalation and resume serious dialogue between the conflicting parties, expressing Canada’s readiness to contribute through peaceful means to achieve this goal.
Carney previously called for the protection of civilians and respect for the rules of international law amid growing tensions after the attacks, noting that Canada does not intend to get involved militarily but supports efforts aimed at preventing the spread of nuclear weapons and similar security threats.
